Abstract Mucormycosis is a fungal infection that generally occurs in patients with some degree of immunosuppression, such as malignancies, diabetes, HIV infection, or who require the administration immunosuppressive drugs. The final diagnosis established by collecting tissue from infectious process and isolating fungus using lab cultures. treatment mucormycosis complex consists trying to reduce risk factors, rigorous surgical debridement, specific antifungal treatment. We present case 54-year-old male patient background SARS-COV2 (moderate form), started 3 months prior presentation our hospital, initially treated at home. presented Orthopaedics Department University Emergency Hospital Bucharest pain total functional impotence his left knee result trauma occurred about 2 before moment progressive worsening symptoms.
